About Alexa-

Alexa graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Her work has been published in a variety of magazines including Modern Bride and shown in galleries from Los Angeles to Denver. She is an award-winning photographer who started shooting weddings in 2004 as a favor to a friend. She enjoyed the process so much that she decided to build a career around documenting and artistically interpreting each unique celebration. She loves the outdoors and natural light, which is a constant influence in all her work, be it weddings, editorial or fine art. She is a member of the selective WPJA, (Wedding Photojournalist Assoiation).

Philosophy-

I want to create classic, beautiful and narrative images from your most special day. I currently shoot digital, but have years of experience shooting film and I appreciate the classic simplicity of a black and white negative. I avoid using fancy digital filters and album layouts, because I want my images to hold up over the test of time, to have a classic quality that cannot be dated. My goal the day of your wedding is not only to document the event and the people, but to also create artistic images that are totally unique to you and the vision that we discuss before the day unfolds.
